The 2019 Mazda3 is available as a sedan or a hatchback. The sedan is available in four trim levels: Standard, Premium, Select, and Preferred. The hatchback is available in three different trim levels: Standard, Preferred, and Premium. Read on to get to know the Mazda 3.
Design
The Standard version of the Mazda3 sedan rides on 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. It features a front grille in a matte finish and body-colored folding power side mirrors.
The Select, Preferred, and Premium trim levels for both styles have a front grille and front lower bumper decorations in a gloss black finish and roll on 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. The Select and Premium Packages include body-color power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, while the Preferred adds in memory positioning.
The Preferred and Premium trim levels stand out with a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna and the hatchback Premium trim level also includes a rear roof spoiler in black finish. All trim levels in both styles include LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED combination lights.
Performance
All trim levels of the Mazda3 are powered by a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine that gets 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a Skyactiv-Drive six-speed electronically controlled sport automatic transmission. The hatchback Premium trim level is the only model available with either a manual or automatic transmission. The Mazda3 sedan in the Standard trim level is front-wheel drive, while the other trim packages for both the sedan and hatchback are available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Interior
There’s enough room for five passengers to sit comfortably inside the Mazda3 sedan and a 60/40 split-fold down rear seatback makes it easy to load and unload cargo. The Standard trim includes cloth-trimmed sport seats and door inserts. The sedan with the Select or Preferred trim levels and the hatchback in Standard and Preferred trims have leatherette-trimmed sport seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector. The Premium trim level in both the sedan and hatchback includes leather-trimmed sport seats. The Preferred and Premium trims of the sedan also include a heated steering wheel.
All trim levels of both styles have a Mazda Connect infotainment system with a large 8.8-inch center display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration make it easy to access your favorite tunes, podcasts, and apps via voice-activated controls. The Premium and Preferred trim levels in both the sedan and hatchback feature a Bose 12-speaker premium audio system and an aluminum speaker grille.
Safety
When it comes to safety, the Mazda3 offers plenty of standard and available safety features in both the sedan and hatchback. Features include advanced dual front airbags, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, smart brake support, a rearview camera, dynamic stability control with a traction control system, Mazda radar cruise control with stop and go, and driver attention alert.
With two body styles and multiple packages available, the 2019 Mazda3 is a vehicle that can be customized to suit your needs. Come by Davis-Moore Auto Group to check one out in person.
