The store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. With more than 40,000 books available on various subjects in the store, you're sure to find a new favorite. If you are looking for something that has been out of print for a while, ask the friendly staff to help you locate it. With expertise in old and new titles, the staff can order or locate a volume of older titles for you with a small deposit. Some of the genres they carry include classics, history, Presidential history, pets, westerns, mysteries, cooking, young adult, and science fiction, among others. You won't find most just-released books at Al's; you're more likely to discover local talent and classic titles here. Eighth Day Books If you are looking for classic books about religion, arts, and culture, stop by Eighth Day Books. The store is on East Douglas. They are open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store focuses on classics, arts, sciences, and humanities. You'll be able to sit and explore many titles in each category.
