The three-row SUV has overtaken the minivan as America's favorite vehicle for big families. While they both offer plenty of room and comfort, SUVs are much more versatile vehicles, with superior off-road capabilities and storage space. One of the most popular is the Chevy Traverse, an SUV that keeps getting better with each generation. Here are some of its best features. A Multitude of Trims to Choose from The 2019 Chevrolet Traverse is available in no less than seven different trim levels: L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country. The L trim may be the most basic one, but you wouldn't say that based on its list of features. It comes equipped with large 18-inch wheels, xenon headlights, LED running lights, a rearview camera, and a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system, among other features. Higher trims bring even more exciting features, such as rear parking sensors, a power liftgate, remote engine start, an 8-inch touch screen, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, and a gorgeous panoramic sunroof. The RS trim is for those looking for a sportier experience, with unique styling elements and a turbocharged engine. Most of the features found on the top trims are available as options on lower trims, enabling you to configure the vehicle based on your specific needs. Powerful and Versatile Available Engines The standard engine on the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse is a 3.6-liter V-6 that's capable of producing 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, helped by a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available as an option. The powerful engine offers the Traverse great acceleration for a car this size, managing to reach 60 miles per hour from a standstill in only 7.1 seconds, a good time even for much smaller vehicles. The RS trim's engine enhances its sporty feel, the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder having up to 257 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, on a front-wheel-drive platform. Both engines offer enough power and maneuverability to make the Traverse drive like a much smaller vehicle. Plenty of Interior Features An SUV that's able to fit the entire family must have enough technology for both navigation and entertainment. The 2019 Chevrolet Traverse also offers exceptional legroom and headroom in all three rows and plenty of tech features for everyone to enjoy. Smartphone connectivity is quick and easy, with the help of Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and USB ports. The vehicle also comes with a 4G LTE connection and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot. The touch-screen infotainment system is intuitive and easy to use, with voice command and physical buttons available so that the driver's eyes only stay on the road. If you're looking for a vehicle that can truly do it all, you need to look no further than the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. Its huge interior space means your friends and family will comfortably fit inside, while the powerful engines and modern infotainment features will keep everyone inside both well-informed and entertained throughout the trip.
