Tune Up Your Swimming Techniques at the Wichita Locations

Teaching children to swim is first and foremost about their safety. However, swimming is also very beneficial for health, fitness levels, and body posture in general, whether you're a kid, teen, or adult. Playing around in water is also a healthy way to unwind and relax. Here are a few places in Wichita that offer clean and well-kept pools, where one can go for swimming lessons, participate in water exercises, or just enjoy a relaxing and fun time. more Twin River Club Twin River Club, which has been around since 1957, offers a recreational space where the entire family can enjoy a good time. A perfect way to round off a fun day filled with healthy exercise is to make use of the available gas grills and picnic tables and enjoy a family cookout. Wichita Swim School The emphasis at Wichita Swim School is to firstly ensure that kids are taught basic water safety in a fun and caring environment. Only when they have mastered the basics and feel confident in the water are the kids then taught more advanced swimming techniques. To ensure that they get the necessary care and attention they need, the instructors, who are all certified Swim America coaches, just work with four kids at a time. After a child has attained the necessary goals within his or her group, she or he can then progress to a more advanced group and receive a sticker to celebrate the achievement. Northwest YMCA Northwest YMCA offers a wide range of water activities for both children and adults that include swimming lessons, competitive swimming, and water exercise. Swimming lessons are offered in six levels, depending on the age of the child, and are focussed on providing children with aquatic skills that include rotary breathing, swim stroke technique, integrated arm and leg action, and body position. For those with a competitive nature, competitive swimming is also provided at this facility, affording team swimmers the opportunity to compete at local, state, and national levels. Adults who want to increase their overall fitness levels and sense of well-being can either go for a few laps in the lap pool, or attend a variety of water exercise classes, which include aqua body design, aqua Zumba, arthritis body exercise, hydrobox, and a water bootcamp. 3 Vehicles for New College Grads

College is a uniquely exciting time in a person's life. Away from your parents and everything that represented your childhood, it's the first time you truly feel independent. But in order to really be free, you need to be able to freely travel wherever you want to. Any of these vehicles will help you achieve that and much more as you enter the working world and need safe, reliable transportation for both work and leisure activities. more 1. Chevrolet Cruze If you asked recent college graduates what they want in a vehicle, most would answer that it has to be affordable, fuel-efficient, and large enough to fit a few of their friends, and it needs to have the right technology for seamless smartphone connectivity. The 2019 Chevrolet Cruze ticks all these boxes and much more, proving to be one of the best choices for a new college grad. Although it's classified as a compact car, the Cruze's interior has plenty of room for all passengers. Its turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine's 153 horsepower won't break any records, but it's more than enough for both city and highway traffic. It also provides the fuel efficiency a college grad with a tight budget definitely needs. Even the basic trim is well-equipped from a tech standpoint, with a 7-inch touch screen, four-speaker audio system, and plenty of smartphone connectivity options, such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and USB ports. 2. Fiat 500 The Fiat is an Italian beauty that's ideal for those college grads who just want a vehicle that's easy to maneuver and park in city traffic. This stylish two-door subcompact car was specially designed for cramped and crowded European cities, so you can be sure you'll never have any trouble squeezing through traffic or parking it. The tradeoff is that you won't be able to fit all your friends in there, but its size and design make it ideal for a romantic getaway. Although the 500's interior has a classic feel, that doesn't mean it lacks any of the technology a college grad needs. The Uconnect infotainment system is easy to control with the help of a 5-inch touch screen, while the six-speaker Alpine audio system will deliver excellent sound. 3. Jeep Wrangler College years are about exploring life and having fun, and there's no car out there that makes exploration as much fun as the Jeep Wrangler. This midsize SUV always had exceptional off-road qualities, but it has also immensely improved its on-road comfort over the years. The result is a car that can smoothly take you to class every day but can also join you on unforgettable adventures every weekend. Whether you take it to the beach or on a rocky mountain trail, any Wrangler trim has enough off-road capability to get you there and back safely. Even the most basic Wrangler has an electric soft top, removable doors, and a fold-down windshield, further enhancing the off-road experience and helping you and your friends have adventures you'll always remember. Your college years were a special period in in your life, with plenty of learning opportunities and fun experiences. Whether you'd like a small car that you can park everywhere, a brawny off-roader to take you on new adventures, or simply an affordable car that can fit all your friends, one of these three vehicles is perfect for you as you put college behind you. 7 Tips for Traveling With Your Pets

Whether you're headed on an extended family vacation or a quick weekend getaway, traveling with pets involves an additional level of planning to keep your pet safe and comfortable. The team at Davis-Moore Auto Group has more than one four-legged family member and recommends following these seven tips when traveling with your pets. more 1. Invest in a Well-Ventilated Carrier Select from a variety of hard plastic, soft-sided, wire, and mesh carriers to find the one that fits your pet's needs. You will want the carrier to be large enough so that your pet can easily and comfortably sit, stand, turn around, and lie down while inside. 2. Practice With Short Drives If traveling longer distances is something new for your pet, help them acclimate by taking them on shorter drives while in their carrier. It's essential to ensure their carrier is secure so it doesn't shift and slide while driving or in case of a sudden stop. 3. Plan Your Pet's Meals Feed your pet a light meal approximately three to four hours before you depart. Never feed your pet while riding in the car, regardless of the distance of the drive. If needed, stop and give your pet adequate time to eat and drink, and then plan another stop shortly after to let them get out and use the bathroom or give them access to their litter box. 4. Never Leave Your Pet in a Parked Vehicle Always make sure someone is in the vehicle with your pet, regardless of the temperature outside. A car can quickly become a furnace potentially leading to heatstroke for your pet on hot days, even with the windows open. On cold days your vehicle is similar to a refrigerator, keeping the inside cold enough for your pet to freeze if left unattended for an extended period. 5. Update Your Pet's Travel Kit Depending on what kind of animal you have, your pet's travel kit should include practical items like: Bowls. Food and water. A leash. Plastic bags. A waste scoop. A litter box and extra litter. Medication. Travel papers. Medication. Grooming supplies. Add a first-aid kit for your pet along with comfort items including a pillow or favorite toy. 6. Make Your Pet Easy to Identify There are several ways you can help make identifying your pet easier in the event of separation. Use a temporary flat collar for your pet while on your trip with contact information including your destination, home address, cell phone number, and backup contact. Implanting a microchip allows most vets and animal shelters to simply wand your pet to obtain your contact information. 7. Keep All Heads Inside the Car Looking at pictures of happy dogs with their ears flapping in the wind while their head is hanging out of the car window makes us smile. However, this is very dangerous for your four-legged family member as flying objects can cause serious injury. A trip can certainly be more fun when you bring your four-legged family member along. By following these quick and easy tips, you can make sure your pet is safe and is having as much fun as you are. https://pixabay.com/photos/dog-car-ride-happy-travel-pet-2379878/ Image via Pixabay by MarPockStudios
